The Braun Cranioclast is an instrument used to aid delivery after fetal demise by crushing and extracting the fetal skull in obstructed labor, antepartum hemorrhage, uterine atony and maternal exhaustion. The instrument is a non-ratcheted forceps with blades that are broad and strong to crush the fetal skull to decrease fetal diameter to aid delivery. The overall length of the instrument is 42 cm. The obstetrician inserts the instrument though the vagina and crushes the fetal skull between the broad blades of the forceps. All of our Braun Cranioclasts are made with premium surgical stainless steel to ensure quality and can be sterilized repeatedly for reuse.
