Lerida Coffee Estate has been stewarded over three generations across three families for over a century. It was founded in 1924 by Norwegian immigrants, engineer Toleff Bache Mönniche and his wife, Julia. It continued to thrive in the 1950s, supervised by American couple Alfredo and Inga Collins, and through to the late 2000s with their sons Hans and Charlie until Maria Antonella Amorusi took over in 2008.
Lerida Geisha honey: This coffee comes from Lerida Estate in the Alto Quiel, Boquete region at 1700 MASL from lot #6. Once the cherries arrive, they are selected through flotation to obtain the best ones. Then, they were pulped and placed in a fermentation tank for 40 hours, after which they were moved to a cold room to dry for 30 days.
