About the ITA BB Standard
“Back in the day” before bottom brackets were pressed into frames, riders chose mostly between Italian and English threaded bottom brackets.
Frame shell width is 70mm and thread size is 36mm x 24tpi. Both cups are right hand threaded.

Italian (ITA) threaded bottom brackets are mainly found on classic Italian and modern day Pinarello frames.
Even today you can find group sets offered in both ITA and BSA standards.

More symmetrical (i.e. round) and built to stricter tolerances than steel bearings
More efficient for power transfer than standard bearings
And, won't deform, flat-spot, crack or get pitted
