Product Description 3M TM Glass Cloth Tape 398FR has an acrylic adhesive for many
applications requiring high adhesion and flame retardant
properties. The highly conformable backing offers high edge tear
resistance, excellent puncture & abrasion resistance as well as good
solvent resistance. 398FR is EU compliant per directive
2003/11/EC of the European Parliament and the council of
February 6, 2003, amending Council Directive 76/769/EEC which
restricts the use of Penta-BDE and Octa –BDE flame retardants.
Application Ideas This product is typically used for insulating, bundling, splicing,
holding or sealing applications. It meets the requirements for the
Aerospace market, passing F.A.R. 25.833a and F.A.R. part 25.855d
burn testing.
