Crafted from carefully shade-grown tencha leaves of the Okumidori cultivar, this ceremonial-grade matcha captures the essence of southern Japan’s finest tea terroir. Grown in the fertile volcanic soils of Kagoshima, Okumidori develops a vibrant emerald hue, rich umami, and a smooth, creamy mouthfeel. The first flush harvest ensures high theanine content and natural sweetness, while 20–30 days of shading before picking intensify its deep color and mellow character. Stone-milled in small batches, this matcha produces a fine, silky powder ideal for both usucha (thin tea) and koicha (thick tea).
