How to Brew Shu Puer TeaWhat you'll need:
7–10g of Shu Puer tea 150–200ml gaiwan or teapot Fresh water heated to 95°C (203°F)
Step-by-Step Brewing Instructions: Rinse (Optional but Recommended): Quickly rinse the tea with hot water (5–10 seconds) to wake up the leaves. Discard this first rinse. 1st Infusion: 10–15 seconds Pour hot water (95°C) over the tea leaves. Steep for 10–15 seconds, then pour into a serving cup. 2nd Infusion: 15–30 seconds Increase steeping time slightly. Steep for 15–30 seconds, then serve. 3rd Infusion: 30–45 seconds Let steep for 30–45 seconds, allowing more depth to develop. 4th to 7th Infusions: Continue brewing, increasing the steeping time by about 15 seconds with each infusion.
