Ready Stock, PRODUK ORIGINAL, Density is the weight per unit volume at a specified temperature. Density determination is important measurement to convert weight into a volume unit. When coatings are manufactured the raw materials are measured in weight units to control the process. The finished product is usually sold in volume units. In accurate density volume measurement is fundamental to an efficient operation. A density cup has also been described as a liquid pycnometer. An ISO cup is a popular design globally. All the density cup designs work the same way having a precisely made cup with small hole in the lid to allow for removal of excess liquid and air. Pattern Name: 100cc/ml Density cups are cylindrical with a large opening for easy pouring, emptying and cleaning. The tight stainless steel lid has an upward slope to a small hole in the center of the top, allowing excess sample material to escape without air bubbles, which increases accuracy. Density cups are made of aluminum alloy and hold a specified amount of liquid in metric units. Three different sizes of density cups are offered below.
Main technical specifications: ■ ISO standard size for 100 ml volume; 50 ml specific volume; GB standard size for 37 ml volume Guaranteed to be within 1 mg (0.001%). Tests are performed at 23°C ± 2°C in accordance with ISO standards. ■ Operating Procedure: - Weigh and record the weight of the clean density cup. - Adjust the temperature of the density cup and test solution (20°C ± 0.5°C/68°F ± 1.0°F) - Load the sample into the density cup - Close the lid without tilting to avoid air bubbles. - Absorb any spilled liquid with an absorbent cloth. - Weigh the liquid-filled density cup Calculation of density by specific gravity cup p = (m2 - m1)/ V m2 = total weight of cup and specimen (g) m1 = weight of empty cup (g) V = volume of cup (mL)
