The new Alpinist CL II inherits its ultra-lightweight and excellent handling performance, but with the move to a tubeless system, the performance has evolved even further. A carefully selected structure that takes full advantage of the lower rim height and reduced spoke weight realizes excellent driving on mountain routes.
The Alpinist CL II uses the same rim as the Alpinist CLX II. It doesn't miss the slightest increase in power, it accelerates instantly, cuts corners exactly where you want it, and meets almost double the impact resistance standards of all certification bodies. The result is a weightless 1375 grams front and rear, realistic air pressures and surreal ride quality.
The DT Swiss 350 hub is what keeps the Alpinist CL II rolling smoothly. A star ratchet is used for the internal, providing excellent reliability and maintainability. This hub is assembled with front and rear DT Swiss CompRace straight pull spokes and alloy Pro-Lock nipples for outstanding reliability and availability.
The lower rolling resistance of going tubeless is an undeniable attribute, as are the benefits of improved handling and incredible puncture resistance. To back this up, we've gone through the most rigorous development and testing ever. It is against this background that we have adopted a hooked rim that allows a wide range of air pressure settings up to 110psi, and has made it easier to set up and install than ever before.
