“Young people are the driving force of the creative economy. They are bold, innovative, and highly adaptive to technology. The content creator profession today offers plenty of opportunities. For example, in the tourism sector, there's potential for creators to promote regional destinations, which in turn supports the local economy. On TikTok Shop, creators can directly earn commissions from every product sold through their short videos or live streams. At the same time, MSMEs benefit from increased sales through these creator-made content,” said Vonny Susamto, Director of Tokopedia and TikTok E-commerce Indonesia.
Andar Danova L. Goeltom, Assistant Deputy for Human Resources Development and Vocational Education at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, said, “In the digital era, technology platforms play a vital role in promoting local tourism and regional products across Indonesia.
