Indonesia, 24 September 2025 - In celebration of National Batik Day on 2 October 2025, Tokopedia and TikTok Shop by Tokopedia revealed that their strengthened synergy drove an 82% increase in Fashion category orders nationwide in Q3 2025 compared to Q3 2024.
"This growth was driven by various collaborative initiatives, such as the double-date ‘Guncang’ promotions and the dedicated batik showcase ‘Melokal Dengan Batik’ available on both Tokopedia and TikTok Shop," said Antonia Adega, Communications Senior Lead, Tokopedia and TikTok E-commerce.
During the Guncang 9.9 2025 campaign, some of the best-selling Fashion products on Tokopedia included oversized t-shirts, hair ties, and unisex shorts. Meanwhile, in TikTok Shop, the top-performing products were hijabs, culottes, and bags. On the other hand, batik products with the highest transaction values in Q3 2025 through the ‘Melokal Dengan Batik’ showcase included kebaya-and-batik-skirt sets, men’s batik shirts, and couple’s batik wear.
"This indicates that these fashion products are highly sought after by buyers. These insights can serve as valuable guidance for sellers, especially those in the fashion industry, or for anyone interested in starting a fashion business with Tokopedia and TikTok Shop," Antonia added.
As one of Indonesia’s largest batik-producing centers, the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) has also recorded its own fashion business trends. In DIY, Fashion category orders rose 89% in Q3 2025 compared to Q3 2024.
Rianty Batik and Delova Wardrobe are examples of batik sellers from Yogyakarta Special Region who are leveraging e-commerce platforms such as Tokopedia and TikTok Shop to stay competitive in the digital era. According to Aditya Suryadinata, Owner of Rianty Batik, video content (both short videos and live streaming) now plays a crucial role in driving online sales. Meanwhile, Mutiara Kurnia Dewi, Owner of Delova Wardrobe, revealed that 70% of Delova Wardrobe’s sales on TikTok Shop come from live streaming.
