Jakarta, February 22, 2022 – Tokopedia revealed that several beauty products saw an uptick in popularity in early 2022 compared to December 2021, such as eyebrow trimmers, eyebrow powders, blackhead tweezers, hair clippers, and cushions.

Tokopedia Beauty Dealight and Beauty Flash Friday, for example, offer curated beauty products, some of which are produced by local MSMEs, such as makeup kits as well as personal and skincare products – at affordable prices.
Cantik Fest offers a wide selection of beauty, fashion, and household items, along with exciting benefits such as discounts, special cashback, free shipping, and much more.
Aside from providing a platform for the community to meet their beauty product needs, Tokopedia also continues to step up various initiatives to encourage and support many of these local MSMEs to be the first choice for beauty products in Indonesia.
Tokopedia also recently hosted the Tokopedia Beauty Awards, an annual award event for local products in the Beauty and Personal Care category. Somethinc, Whitelab, HMNS, and Sundae Shower are just a few of the winners chosen by the public at the 2021 Tokopedia Beauty Awards.
On the other hand, the Hyperlocal initiative, which was established to bring local MSMEs in different regions closer to local buyers, has driven an increase in the number of sellers outside the Greater Jakarta area.
“Surakarta, Palembang, Yogyakarta, Makassar, and Pekanbaru are cities with the highest number of sellers in the beauty category in 2021 compared to 2020," concluded Sherine.
