Indonesia, 7 August 2023 - On 17 August 2023, Tokopedia will celebrate its 14th year as an Indonesian tech company and part of the GoTo group. From 8-31 August 2023, people can enjoy the PLUS by GoTo service at a more affordable pricing. The one-month PLUS by GoTo subscription package has a 50% discount at IDR 25,000 per month. The three-month subscription package has a 55% discount at IDR 67,500 or IDR 22,500 per month. The six-month subscription package has a 70% discount at IDR 90,000, or IDR 15,000 per month.

With PLUS by GoTo, people can access hundreds of millions of products with the PLUS logo on Tokopedia with free shipping (including same-day delivery) and faster delivery times. Trends in Online Shopping in the Past Year: 3/4 of Inter-island Transactions on Tokopedia Uses the Free Shipping Feature

One is the Kumpulan Toko Pilihan (KTP), a curated page for the seller's products closest to the buyer's location. Thanks to the Hyperlocal initiative and its various derivatives, Tokopedia has recorded a positive impact on Indonesian online shopping trends over the past year (data period: August 2022-July 2023 compared to August 2021-July 2022).

"Tokopedia's top-selling product categories in the past year include groceries, household items, fashion, electronics, sports, and hobbies. Our goal is to be an inclusive platform that caters to users of all ages and backgrounds to make everyone's life easier," said Nuraini.

Thanks to the Hyperlocal initiative and its various derivatives, Tokopedia also recorded that Southeast Aceh (Aceh), Padang Lawas Utara (North Sumatra), Malacca (NTT), Central Buton (Southeast Sulawesi), and Teluk Bintuni (West Papua) were areas with the highest increase in the number of sellers over the past year, with an average increase of almost four times.

In addition, several regions with the highest increase in the number of transactions over the past year, namely Natuna (Kep. Riau), North Lombok (NTT), Deiyai (Central Papua), Arfak Mountains (West Papua) and Nduga (Mountain Papua), with an average increase of almost 8.5 times.

Almost 3/4 of the inter-island transactions on Tokopedia over the past year used the Free Shipping feature. The free shipping service is in great demand by Indonesians who shop online, especially when transacting between islands. This initiative also helps businesses in all regions in Indonesia, including MSMEs, increase sales and advance their business without having to move to the capital city, which is very much in line with Tokopedia's Hyperlocal mission," Nuraini concluded.
