Consequences If the product infringes on Intellectual Property (IP)

  • Checkmark

Product will be taken down by Tokopedia

If your product is proven to violate IP, either from the reports by IP holder or from the findings of the Tokopedia team, then the product will be taken down by the Tokopedia team. Other than that, your shop performance is potentially deducted. Learn more about shop performance.

The Tokopedia team has certain criteria to determine products that are suspected of violating IP, including if there are product findings that are claimed as fake products in the title or description.

Suppose your product is reported by the IP holder and taken down by Tokopedia, then your shop may not be able to sell the similar products to the previously reported one.

If you try to upload similar products to the previously reported products, your product will automatically be under the supervision of Tokopedia and will not be discoverable on the shop page and Tokopedia discovery.

  • Checkmark

Shop has the potential to be suspended by Tokopedia

If the shop repeatedly violates on their products, the store will be temporarily suspended. If you repeat the violations that cause your shop to be suspended again, your shop will be suspended permanently at one point.
