Jakarta, June 19, 2025 – Tokopedia, TikTok and Indonesia’s Ministry of Industry announced the launch of KALCER program (Kemenperin Angkat Lokal Cepat Terkenal – “Ministry of Industry Elevates Local Brands to Quick Fame”) to support the growth of MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) through various skills-building initiatives.
Under the KALCER programme, Tokopedia and TikTok Shop will provide 100 MSMES with the knowledge on how to open and manage a store on Tokopedia/TikTok Shop, information about #JualanNyaman (comfortable selling) and #BelanjaAman (safe shopping), as well as features such as Live Stream and the Affiliate Programme.

This program is designed to help Indonesian MSMEs compete and maximize their use of digital technology through Tokopedia and TikTok Shop. Through this program, business owners will receive training on everything from opening their store to increasing their sales and income on our platforms,” said Vonny Susamto, Director of Tokopedia and TikTok E-Commerce, Indonesia.
Indonesia's Deputy Minister of Industry, Faisol Riza, said, “The KALCER program is a tangible manifestation of the government’s support for local industries, especially MSMEs, in facing the digital era. This strategic collaboration with Tokopedia and TikTok Shop is expected to accelerate the digital transformation of small and medium industries and expand their market access through digital platforms like Tokopedia and TikTok Shop. Through this initiative, we aim to ensure that local products can dominate the domestic market and remain highly competitive.”
Positive Impact of Buy Local Collaboration on Local MSMEs
Majority of merchants on TikTok Shop and Tokopedia are small businesses and the synergy between both brands have driven significant sales growth for them, with many of them experiencing sales increases of up to 118%.[1] The Buy Local campaign by Tokopedia and TikTok Shop has also contributed to local MSMEs seeing up to 70% [1] growth in sales and an average daily transaction value increase of nearly 90%, particularly during Ramadan.
"Since its establishment, No Void Minds has focused on online sales through e-commerce platforms such as Tokopedia and TikTok Shop. By participating in the "Buy Local" campaign, No Void Minds gained increased exposure, transactions, and brand awareness as a local brand. Thanks to optimized sales strategies on Tokopedia and TikTok Shop, No Void Minds' sales soared threefold in 2024. The brand now generates a monthly revenue of approximately IDR 3 billion through Tokopedia and TikTok Shop, said CEO No Void Minds, Verrell Gunawan.
